Diving in Zanzibar is possible all year round. Due to the proximity to the equator, the climate here is tropical all year round. The average temperatures are between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius.
January February
These are the hottest months in Zanzibar. Temperatures of up to 35 degrees Celsius can be reached. During this time, however, a pleasant wind usually blows.
March April May
The great rainy season - late March to late May. Restaurants, hotels and sometimes diving schools are often closed in April and May. In the great rainy season, visibility while diving can be somewhat impaired by the rains.
June / July / August / September / October
It is not that hot during this period. In August and September, the temperature can be 20 degrees Celsius at night, and the humidity is also significantly lower.
November December
The little rainy season.
The general high season is August / September and December / January.
